Meet Our Staff
Melissa holds a masters degree in Social Work and Long Term Care Administration from CW Post University. She works for a major hospital system on Long Island (CHSLI) in their continuing care division. Melissa also provides individual counseling to children, adolescents and families who are experiencing adjustment issues. She specializes in anxiety/stress reduction, and mood disorders. Her style is empathic, supportive, as well as solution based.

Miroslav “Mirko” Fryčer was born in Opava, Czechoslovakia. He started his National Hockey League career with the Quebec Nordiques in 1981. He also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings, and the Edmonton Oilers. In 1985 he was chosen to represent Toronto in the Campbell Conference in the All-Star Game. In a game against Edmonton on January 8, 1986, four of the Leafs goals were scored by Frycer. After the game, Wayne Gretzky referred to Frycer as a great hockey player. He left the NHL after the 1989 season. He also played two seasons in Freiburg for EHC Freiburg. During the 1980 Winter Olympics, Fryčer played for the Czechoslovakian national team. In 415 NHL games Miro scored 147 goals, 183 assists, 330 points and 486 penalty minutes. Frycer was in 17 playoff games with 3 goals, 8 assists and 11 points. After his Hockey career he coached in Czech Republic and Germany and is currently the coach of the HC Fassa, Italy.
